Your role as HR Manager

As HR Manager you are responsible for overseeing HR operations at the headquarters in Helmond, as well as for the Complex Products Business Line, which includes two plants: Helmond, Netherlands and Schrozberg, Germany.

The workforce under this role’s responsibility includes approximately 550 FTEs. The HR Manager plays a vital role in translating Group HR and Business Line strategies into localized processes and policies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Acting as a strategic business partner, the HR Manager works closely with the Business Line management team and people managers at headquarters to support business priorities.

Key objectives for the role involve supporting the growth of the Complex Products Business Line, relocating activities to best-cost countries, optimizing the direct-to-indirect workforce ratio, centralizing supporting functions, and improving HR processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. These efforts are essential for driving organizational growth and operational success.

The HR Manager reports directly to the VP of Human Resources and functionally to the Business Line Director for Complex Products. Additionally, the role includes leading a team of five HR professionals based in Germany and the Netherlands, ensuring effective collaboration and delivery across regions.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Organizational Transformation Support: Collaborate with business leaders to implement organizational change initiatives that align with strategic goals, enhance performance, and support sustainable growth.
  • HR Optimization and Digital Transformation: Lead efforts to optimize HR operations, integrating digital tools and processes to improve efficiency, elevate customer satisfaction, and streamline workflows.
  • Employee Engagement: Design and execute programs that strengthen employee satisfaction, retention, and foster a positive organizational culture.
  • Employee Well-being: Champion well-being initiatives that promote vitality, reduce absenteeism, and cultivate a healthy and productive work environment.

Your profile

You have a confident and assertive personality, combined with strong influencing and problem-solving skills. These qualities enable you to effectively challenge the status quo and drive positive change in people-related matters, contributing to organizational growth and success.

You bring proven experience in collaborating with social partners, showcasing your ability to manage complex relationships and achieve productive outcomes. Additionally, you are skilled in using HR analytics and data to guide decision-making, improve processes, and measure the impact of HR initiatives, ensuring that your strategies are both data-driven and effective.

You are highly proactive, with a hands-on and solution-oriented approach. You take full ownership of your responsibilities, tackling challenges with a practical, results-driven attitude that helps to deliver innovative solutions and drive progress within the organization.

Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following:

  • University degree in HR, Organizational Studies, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of international HR Business Partner experience, ideally within an international manufacturing environment.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, basic knowledge of German is highly preferred.
