Global Dispensing Overview
Global Dispensing produces precision equipment for dispensing, metering, and mixing colorants and paints. With products used globally in retail and commercial settings, Global Dispensing is organized into three geographical units: Americas, Asia, and EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa).

Your Role as Managing Director, Fast & Fluid Management (EMEA)

As the Managing Director (MD) of FFM, based in Sassenheim, The Netherlands, you will lead the business to continued growth through geographic expansion, new product innovation, and enhanced service capabilities. You will drive strategy and tactics with a focus on maintaining profitability and overall financial performance. Additionally, you will foster a high-performance, diverse team, ensuring the business attracts and develops top talent. As a key member of the global leadership team, you will contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans for the current year and beyond. In your role, you will have the autonomy to operate within the established framework, leveraging your insights and expertise to shape and refine strategies for the coming years.

The MD will foster high levels of engagement within both the EMEA and the larger Global Dispensing team and will ensure that the business continues to attract and develop high caliber talent and will provide intelligent and innovative leadership in the following key areas:

Business Strategy
Spearhead, within with the Global Dispensing Leadership Team, the development of a strategic plan that creates sustainable, profitable growth and advances the value of the business.

Utilize strategy deployment for successful implementation of IDEX Operating Model by employees within the EMEA region.
Conceptualize and define Annual Business Plans and Budgets for EMEA, aligned with the strategic plan, and widely communicated to the organization for appropriate alignment and success. 

Team Leadership & Driving Results
Motivate and lead a high-performance management team to drive changes that integrate the region within the Global Dispensing umbrella. Responsible for financial results for the business and motivating and driving accountability in the team towards those.

Attract, develop and retain talented and skilled individuals who bring key capabilities to the team and to the company. Ensure that the right people are in the right roles. Drive employee engagement across and at all levels of the local and global organization. Prepare functional leaders for larger responsibility across Dispensing and IDEX. Build a bench for the future organizational and talent needs. 

Business Culture
Provide leadership to ensure that the vision and core values of the company are upheld. Drive team awareness around FFM’s role within the larger IDEX organization and the need to balance the needs of employees, customers and shareholder. 
Ensure that the culture places a high value on people and their contribution to the overall success of the business coupled with the commitment to results necessary to maintain the company’s market leadership position.

The Managing Director of FFM will have a robust commercial background and excel in a company with a knowledgeable and dedicated team. Professional Qualifications
The Managing Director, FFM will be a strategic business leader, capable of laying out a strategic plan, setting goals and objectives, and leading a team in the execution of the plan. 

Additionally, candidates for this role require:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred;
  • 5-7-plus years with a successful track record as a Managing Director for a $60M business with high profitability;
  • Strong business planning experience with in-depth understanding of the financial metrics that drive a business and the means of influencing those metrics;
  • Skilled in casting a vision and creating the strategy to realize that vision and leading the company through the change process for successful execution;
  • Experience successfully driving growth through innovation, new market penetration and/or expansion into new regions;
  • Keen business sense, with the ability to find creative business-oriented solutions to problems;
  • Languages: Fluent in English and Dutch - others language a plus;
  • Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time.
